My Mother's family includes the name of ACALEY in the Lykens, PA area. Buried in Wiconisco are Henry C. Acaley, b. 1850, d. 7/26/1918 and his wife Louisa WEIDEL Acaley, b. 1/3/1853, d. 6/29/1934. They had children: Sarah Elizabeth, b. 2/26/1872; Maude; Emma Bertha, b. 2/7/1875; Milton Wesley, b. 12/17/1877; Anne Jane, b. 7/1/1878; William Henry, b. 6/9/1880; George Washington, b. 2/22/1882; Gertrude Viola, b. 6/27/1884; Florence Irene, b. 12/10/1886; Edwin Emanuel, b. 4/10/1889; Albert Allen, b. 12/24/1891.

Henry C.'s father was, I believe, Jonathon ACALEY and his wife Julianna (possibly CLEMENS.) Have found few to no other Acaleys anywhere! I did find a birth record for a Johannes Acley b. 2/4/1831 at David's Reformed Church in Killinger, nearby. He was born to Michael Acley and his wife Lydia. There are also Aekelys in the same church, but only a few mentions. Any information on this family would be appreciated!

I just read your information on Acaley. I have found very little information on Acaley, too. I am interested in the name Jonathon Acaley. In my files I have a John Acaley married to someone with the last name close to Clemms. Could it be the same one? If my info is correct my John Acaley had a son Samuel Charles Acaley b.1857 d. 3-12-1924 Married to Lucy (Lillie?) Garman in 3-18-1884 in Brookville, Illinois. That's basically as far back as my info goes. THANKS.

Hi, haven't checked the boards in awhile...do you know where your Samuel Charles Acaley was born? I don't have any information on siblings of my Henry, but the names seem too close for a coincidence...especially given the rarity of the name Acaley. I suspect that they may have come to PA from elsewhere, because I have had little luck tracking them in that part of the country. I have seen that there are Acaley with various spelling variations in New England...wonder if that's where they came from...

HI,
I have some information on Samuel Charles Acaley.
He is my great grandfather.
I know that he died in Brookview, Illinois.
He had four children.
One was William B. Acaley born in 1885 (?) in Forreston, Illionis and died in Rockford, Illinois.
William would be my grandfather.

How can the recent genology be updated? I know my grandfather I believe is William Acaley, probably WWII vet...I'd like to know more about how he died after return from the war....cardiac arrest ..... My grandmother I know was Pearl Iva Howe-Acaley. I know there were three brothers Roy, Richard, William and a sister, Gladys. William was my father which he had two chidren previous to my parents marriage. William married my mother, Bernice Marie Seago Acaley. Their children were David, John, Paul, Kathleen (Scranton) and Linda (Fringer)....It would be nice to have at least this information recorded so our future generations won't have to dig so hard?

Hi,I think this may be my Acaley family, too. I'm trying to make a link between your info and mine. My family info is a little further back...I think we're missing a generation, but I have several Williams in the family and one piece of info on a Roy, who was born in Dauphin co., PA. I don't know that there's a really good place on line to store info other than the boards like this, but I have mine on Family Tree Maker software at home. People are good about sharing what they have online. I'll gladly send you what I have, and maybe we can make a connection.
